Making the switch to non-toxic beauty and skincare can be a daunting process. When I shared about my own experience and tips a few weeks ago you overwhelmingly asked what non-toxic brands I use. I heard you and I am here with the answer. There are so many amazing non-toxic beauty brands and resources. The movement for healthier personal care is growing and it seems like new brands pop up everyday. These are a few of my favorites but by no means are they the only good brands out there.

My Favorite Non-Toxic Brands
Credo
100 Percent Pure
100 Perfect Pure has a non-toxic alternative for almost every item you already own. Their products are dyed using fruit pigment and they have very high standards for ingredients and formulation. I have so many products from 100 Percent Pure that it is a little embarrassing. Everything works very well and I know it is safe to use. They are available to purchase through their website and in their brick and mortar stores. If you ever get a chance to go in-person to a store I would highly recommend it.
Vegan Ingredients
My recommended product: Green Tea Fiber Brow Builder

Tela
Tela is a non-toxic company that is dedicated to hair care. Hair products seem to be one of the most challenging areas to find non-toxic replacements for. It took me many tries and many bad hair days to finally find this amazing brand. My hair looks better than it ever has since I switched to Tela.
Gluten Free
Vegan
My recommended product: Curly Conditioner
W3ll People
W3ll People is one of the most popular non-toxic brands and they can be found at Target, Free People, Anthropologie, and many other stores. W3ll People carries a variety of makeup and skincare products from tinted moisturizer, bronzers and blush to contour kits and mascara. I’ve only tried a few things from this brand but I can’t wait to try more.
They have products that are Vegan and Gluten Free but as far as I can tell they don’t claim all products to be so.
My recommended product: Expressionist Mascara
Fat & The Moon
Fat & The Moon is one brand I am incredibly loyal to. I had the pleasure of doing a workshop with the owner, Rachel and I have been hooked ever since. Everything about this brand is simple, natural, authentic, and effective. I have tried many of their products and they always blow me away. They carry a variety of personal care items and makeup products.
As far as I can tell they are not certified as being cruelty free, gluten free, or organic. But they are a very small company and I know they use high quality ingredients.
My recommended product: Beam (highlighter)
RMS
Gluten Free
Non-GMO
Not Tested on Animal
My recommended product: Eye Polish
Kosas
If you want the perfect lipstick look no further that Kosas. They have truly mastered their lipstick formula, it is long lasting (for a natural product), comfortable, and pigmented, not to mention it applies like a dream. Their color selection is small but has everything you could want. Highly recommend.
Gluten Free
Cruelty Free
My recommended product: Weightless Lip Color
Rituelle De Fille
I think Rituelle De Fille’s website says it perfectly “Rituel de Fille was founded by three sisters who were inspired by the magical side of natural ingredients, and the ritualistic, ceremonial power of pigment.” Their selection of products all have an element of magic to them. If you are looking for something truly different but with safe ingredients then this is the place for you.
Gluten Free
PETA Certified Cruelty Free
My recommended product: Celestial Sphere Eye Soot
Juice Beauty
Juice Beauty is a favorite among celebrities and even has the Gwyneth seal of approval (she serves as their Creative Director). Juice Beauty products are super high performing and akin to any conventional beauty products but their formulas are clean. This is a great company to start the switch to more natural products if you’re concerned about effectiveness.
USDA Certified Organic
Vegan
Leaping Bunny Certified (cruelty free)
Nourish Organics
I love Nourish Organic because they prove that non-toxic skin care doesn’t have to break the bank. Their products can be found at Target and many drug stores. Their formulas are simple, easy to understand, and safe.
USDA Certified Organic
Oregon Tilth Certified Organic
Gluten Free
Vegan
Leaping Bunny Certified (cruelty free)
My recommended product: Moisturizing Organic Face Cleanser
